• Supports premenstrual tention by decreasing symptoms of irritability, mood swings, breast tenderness and abdominal bloating
• Helps maintain levels of vitamin E, iodine and folic acid in the body
• Maintains calcium levels within normal range in adolescents and females
• Chaste Tree is traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to reduce menstrual cycle irregularity, and can be used to relieve night sweats associated with menopause
• Assists healthy red blood cell production

Warnings, Contraindications and Cautions

Warnings, Contraindications and Cautions: MediHerb Vital Woman

• Due to the presence of vitamin A, do not exceed recommended dosage if pregnant, or considering becoming pregnant. When taken in excess of 3000 micrograms retinol equivalents, vitamin A can cause birth defects.
• The recommended daily amount of vitamin A from all sources is 700 micrograms retinol equivalents for women and 900 micrograms retinol equivalents for men.
• This product contains vitamin B6, which may be dangerous when used in large amounts or for a long time.
• This product contains selenium which is toxic in high doses. A daily dose of 150 mcg for adults of selenium from dietary supplements should not be exceeded.
• Patients who have had a baby with a neural tube defect/spina bifida should seek specific medical advice.
• Contains vitamin K, which may affect some medications.
• Contains 3mg Boron, not to be taken by children under 12 years old.
• This product contains a low dose of Chaste Tree and is not advised during late pregnancy on theoretical grounds. However, the product is appropriate for women wishing to conceive and no problems in early pregnancy would be anticipated with its use.
• Vitex agnus-castus may affect hormones and medicines such as oral contraceptives.
• Chaste Tree may aggravate pure spasmodic dysmenorrhoea not associated with premenstrual syndrome.
• Vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced diet.
• Discontinue 7 days prior to general anaesthesia.
• If patient symptoms persist, seek additional professional advice.
