Contraindications and Cautions
Contraindications and Cautions: MediHerb MediMag Powder
- Stop taking this medication if you experience tingling, burning or numbness and see your healthcare practitioner as soon as possible (contains Vitamin B6)
- Vitamin and mineral supplements should not replace a balanced diet
- Contains 50mg of potassium per dose
- Contains trace amounts of sulfur dioxide
- Caution is advised for individuals with existing renal conditions, young children and pregnant women due to the mineral and amino acid content
- To be used with caution in patients taking medications that cause potassium retention/hyperkalaemia
- Concurrent administration with NSAIDs, antibiotics, and bisphosphonates (osteoporosis drugs) may interfere with the absorption of the doses by at least two hours
- Discontinue 7 days prior to general anaesthesia
- If patient symptoms persist, seek additional professional advice
