MediHerb Withania Complex contains herbs traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine as a calmative and nervine and to relieve sleeplessness. In addition, herbs are traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to support healthy adrenal gland function and adapt to stress.

Traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine:

  • to aid in the recovery from illness
  • as a calmative and nevine
  • to relieve sleeplessness

  • as a body and nerve tonic
  • to support healthy adrenal gland function and adapt to stress
  • to relieve restlessness
Dose and Administration

Adults: 1 tablet 3-6 times daily

Each tablet contains:
Withania somnifera (Withania) extract dry conc. 95mg
derived from root dry 950mg
Glycyrrhiza glabra (Licorice) extract dry conc. 107.15mg
derived from root dry 750mg
Scutellaria lateriflora (Skullcap) extract liquid 940microlitre
derived from root dry 470mg
Panax ginseng (Korean Ginseng) extract dry conc. stand. 20mg
derived from root dry 100mg
stand. to contain ginsenosides calculated as Rg1, Re, Rb1, Rb2, Rc & Rd 1.68mg

Calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, colloidal anhydrous silica, glucose monohydrate, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycollate.

Warnings, Contraindications and Cautions

Warnings, Contraindications and Cautions: MediHerb Withania Complex

  • Contraindicated in patients taking phenelzine
  • Due to Licorice: caution is advised in those with elevated liver enzymes taking immunosuppressives: contraindicated in hypertension (including women who are prone to hypertension during pregnancy), and oedema and in those taking thiazide or loop diuretics
  • Caution in pregnancy
  • Caution is advised in patients taking central nervous system stimulants, insulin or oral hypoglycaemic drugs, nifedipine and warfarin
  • Korean Ginseng is best not used during acute infections
  • Monitor patients taking thyroxine
  • Discontinue 7 days prior to general anaesthesia 
  • If patient symptoms persist, seek additional professional advice
